Foundation (2010 B.S.)
Marwadi Sewa Samiti Nepal was established in 2010 B.S. (1953-54 AD) in Kathmandu with the aim of organizing social service activities within the Marwadi community. Before its formation, Marwadi individuals and families were engaged in philanthropy informally, but the establishment of the Samiti provided a structured approach to community service. The primary focus at this stage was social welfare, including helping the underprivileged and contributing to local development.
Expansion & Recognition (2014 B.S.)
By 2014 B.S., the organization had gained recognition and began expanding its activities beyond Kathmandu. It started formalizing its efforts in education, healthcare, and disaster relief. The Samiti organized financial aid programs, distributed food to those in need, and started supporting local schools and hospitals. This period marked the beginning of large-scale community involvement.
Structured Growth (2025–2026 B.S.)
In this phase, Marwadi Sewa Samiti introduced structured welfare programs and expanded its services. It played a crucial role in disaster relief efforts, providing aid during floods, earthquakes, and other emergencies. The Samiti also launched scholarship programs for underprivileged students and started regular blood donation drives. Additionally, the organization built healthcare centers and supported public hospitals to improve medical access.
Modernization & Large-Scale Social Initiatives (Post-2026 B.S.)
The Samiti began integrating modern social service practices and collaborating with government agencies and other NGOs. It expanded into women empowerment programs, environmental initiatives, and economic development projects. More hospitals, schools, and community centers were established to provide better services to the people. The organization became a nationally recognized entity, contributing significantly to Nepal’s social and economic development.
Present Day – Continued Social Impact
Today, Marwadi Sewa Samiti Nepal remains dedicated to education, healthcare, and disaster relief. It actively organizes blood donation campaigns, scholarship programs, and emergency aid missions. With a strong network across Nepal, the organization continues to uphold its mission of social service and community welfare, ensuring long-term positive impact on society.
