About Us
Marwadi Mahila Manch, Kathmandu, is a dedicated women’s organization founded in 1993 under the aegis of Marwadi Sewa Samiti, Nepal. It serves as a vibrant platform to unite Marwadi women in Kathmandu, fostering social service, women’s empowerment, and the preservation of Marwadi cultural heritage. The organization is committed to community development through initiatives such as educational support, health programs, and cultural events. During the 2022–2024 term, the Manch expanded its reach by adding 100 new members and conducting 16 executive committee meetings. It organizes festivals like Teej, Holi, and Gangaur, alongside social welfare activities such as scholarships, health camps, and support for local goshalas (cow shelters). The Manch also engages in environmental efforts, like planting 200 trees, and has earned recognition in drama and poetry competitions organized by Nepal National Marwadi Mahila Sangathan. Led by an elected executive committee, with Mrs. Dhyana Kayara as president (appointed on May 30, 2023), Marwadi Mahila Manch continues to strengthen community bonds and promote the values of service, culture, and empowerment within the Marwadi community in Kathmandu.
